June 7, 2018 - Bear Creek Water Association has again earned the maximum score of 5.0 / 5.0 from the Mississippi State Department of Health for the drinking water supply. This is according to the MSDH inspection report dated May 18, 2018.
Bear Creek Water Association General Manager Nolan Williamson says, “The Mississippi State Department of Health conducts an annual inspection, and then we receive scores based on several criteria. The three categories are technical, managerial, and financial. We are excited that we have received the maximum score of 5.0 in all three categories. Our staff of licensed water operators makes sure all of our sampling, testing, and compliance is monitored per the regulatory requirements. And the Mississippi State Department of Health staff is always helpful when we have questions or need guidance. The Bear Creek Board of Directors and I have also worked hard to make sure we are fiscally responsible and financially sound. It's vital that we take care of the present, while planning for the future. And our goal is always to provide the safest drinking water and best service that we possibly can to our customers.”
